Voice-Aware AI Knowledge Governance for High-Skill Teams
Nova is the enterprise AI layer inside DebriefCore. It governs how knowledge is captured, verified by identity, reviewed by humans, and preserved as trusted organizational memory — with audit trail, chain of custody, expert dependency analysis, and compliance evidence at every step.
Summarizing a conversation is not the same as governing expert knowledge.
AI meeting tools have solved note-taking. The problem they have not solved — and were not designed to solve — is knowledge governance.
Meeting notes capture what was said, not what was known
AI meeting tools summarize conversations. They don't structure expert judgment into reviewable, approvable records with a human sign-off, an ownership trail, and a risk score.
No identity. No chain of custody.
When a transcript becomes policy, you need to know who said it, whether their identity was verified, and whether a qualified human approved it. Meeting notes have none of that.
Knowledge walks out the door uncaptured
Expert memory concentrates in a few people. Without governance tooling, you discover the gap only after the expert leaves.
Ten capabilities. One governance layer.
Nova is not a chatbot bolted onto a document store. It is a purpose-built governance layer that covers every stage of the knowledge lifecycle — capture, identity, verification, review, approval, risk, and evidence.
Voice Profile (Beta)
Optional voice personalization with explicit consent and encrypted embeddings. Never used as authentication.
Confidence Cards
Every Nova answer shows source strength, knowledge age, ownership, risk level, and voice-confirmation status.
Chain of Custody
Every approved article records contributor identity, verification method, and approval trail.
Challenge Mode
Nova can adversarially challenge its own answers to surface weaknesses before decisions are made.
Session-to-Action Packs
Boardroom sessions export to five structured outputs: executive summary, knowledge drafts, open questions, risk entries, and reviewer assignments.
Expert Dependency Radar
Knowledge concentration risk by owner. Single-point-of-failure analysis above 30% concentration.
Loss-of-Expert Simulation
Departure scenario: which knowledge becomes at-risk if a key person leaves, and what is the capture plan.
Compliance Evidence Map
AI mapping of approved articles to 8 governance domains. Honest: "supports evidence for" not "certifies."
Nova Memory Graph
Interactive SVG visualization of people, knowledge ownership, and risk relationships.
Nova Boardroom
Command-center AI briefing with live source verification, Proof Mode, speaker labels, and confidence scoring.
AI drafts. Humans decide.
Every piece of knowledge that reaches your organization's source of truth has passed through a human review. Nova structures and drafts — it never auto-approves.
- 01
Capture
Expert records a debrief
Voice or text capture. Nova listens, identifies the speaker (if Voice Identity is enabled and consent given), and begins structuring the session in real time.
- 02
Nova structures
AI drafts a knowledge article
Nova produces a structured draft: title, summary, key findings, risk level, knowledge owner, and suggested governance domain. This is a draft — not an approved record.
- 03
Nova reviews
Five automated checks before any human sees it
DebriefCore uses Nova to review AI-generated operational knowledge before human approval. Quality Review checks whether the draft is clear and complete. Evidence Verification checks claims against approved knowledge. Safety and Risk checks for hazards and missing controls. Governance Routing turns those signals into a routing decision. Meta Review then presents one readable verdict for the human reviewer. It is not a fifth AI opinion; it is an orchestration and synthesis layer over the existing checks.
- 04
Human reviews
A qualified reviewer reads, edits, and decides
The draft enters a review queue with Nova's verdict attached. A qualified human reviewer reads the article, edits where needed, and either approves it or sends it back with notes. No draft auto-approves.
- 05
Approved knowledge
Preserved as trusted organizational memory
Once approved, the article is locked into your organization's memory with a chain of custody record: who captured it, who reviewed it, when it was approved, and when it is due for re-review.
Governed AI Review Workflow
Approved knowledge only. Every time.
Nova retrieves answers from approved knowledge only. Drafts, pending-review articles, and unapproved content are never surfaced as organizational fact. If approved knowledge does not cover a question, Nova says so — it does not guess.
Questions about Nova.
Straight answers about what Nova does, how it handles identity and compliance, and what it will not do.
What is AI knowledge governance?
AI knowledge governance is the discipline of ensuring that AI-generated knowledge is verified, reviewed by qualified humans, attributed to its source, and preserved with a clear approval trail. Nova provides the governance layer — human approval, identity verification, chain of custody, risk scoring, and compliance evidence — on top of AI-generated drafts.
How is DebriefCore different from an AI meeting assistant?
AI meeting assistants summarize conversations. DebriefCore governs expert knowledge — structuring it into reviewable drafts, routing it through a human approval workflow, linking it to verified identities, scoring its risk, and preserving an append-only audit trail. Meeting notes have none of that.
Does Nova approve knowledge automatically?
No. Every Nova output is a structured draft. It stays in a draft state until a qualified human reviewer reads it, edits if needed, and explicitly approves it. Approved knowledge is the only output that reaches your organization's source of truth.
Can Nova identify speakers?
Nova includes an optional Voice Identity feature that uses speaker enrollment and cosine-similarity verification. It is off by default, requires workspace admin enablement, and requires explicit 3-checkbox consent before enrollment. It is never used as the sole form of authentication.
Is Voice Identity optional?
Yes. Voice Identity is off by default at the workspace level. Admins must enable it, and individual users must explicitly consent to enrollment. Users can disable or permanently delete their voice profile at any time.
Does DebriefCore certify legal compliance?
No. DebriefCore helps organize governance evidence, review history, approval workflows, and audit-ready knowledge records. It does not constitute legal compliance certification with SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, FAA SMS, or any other framework.
What is the Compliance Evidence Map?
The Compliance Evidence Map is a Nova feature that uses AI to map your approved knowledge articles to 8 governance domains: training evidence, review history, approval workflow, incident learning, operational risk, change management, access control, and audit evidence. It generates a coverage score and shows which domains are well-supported versus uncovered.
Can teams export governance evidence?
Yes. The Executive Governance Evidence Report summarizes knowledge coverage, expert dependency, stale articles, chain of custody, and recommended actions in a printable format suitable for leadership review, safety audits, or board presentations.
